Welcome Back!
FROM MR. JOHNSON, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Welcome back students! I hope all of you have enjoyed your summer
break and are excited to begin a new school year. MCHS continually
strives to provide a safe and positive learning environment for all
of our students and staff. Last year, MCHS partnered with
Interquest Canine to conduct unannounced inspections of our campus.
I am pleased to announce our school safety dog Dandy will be back
again this year. Dandy is trained to detect illicit drugs, alcohol,
and gun powder-based items. The goal of the program is to keep all
of us safe and to deter students from bringing contraband on
campus.
I would also encourage all of you to review the student handbook,
especially the "Top 10 Rules" found on page 3. It is important that
parents and students are familiar with our attendance and
discipline policies. Students that consistently follow school
policies and meet teacher expectations will have success in the
classroom!
I challenge each of you to make the most of your high school
experience. Get involved, work hard, and be responsible. Treat
others with respect and take advantage of all that MCHS has to
offer. I wish each of you the best of luck and have a great school
year!
